There is a giant crater in the earth and a little boy stands alone at its edge.
His mother runs up and grabs him up.
MOMMY: My baby! Oh, my baby! You have to be careful. You could have fallen in. Are you okay? Oh, my baby. Are you okay?
BOY: What is that hole, Mommy?
MOMMY: Sweety, I don’t know. It’s a hole in the ground, and it came from... someplace. I don’t know, I- sometimes holes just appear out of nowhere-.
BOY: This is a new hole. It’s big. It’s in our backyard.
MOMMY: It is.
BOY: There was a crash. I heard it.
MOMMY: Yes.
BOY: I think there is something in there.
MOMMY: Maybe. We should probably go. It’s dangerous, sweety.
They turn around and start to walk away.
SUPERMAN flies out of the crater and into the sky.
BOY: What was that?
